Self-advocates and people advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities were important communicating the need for this additional funding. The importance of this advocacy has prompted The Arc of Massachusetts to host Self-Advocacy Trainings across the state, including one last week at Special Olympics of Massachusetts. This training was mentioned in the newest installment of Play Unified Podcast.
