Insider’s View: Representative James J. Dwyer

DwyerThe Thirteenth Middlesex district located just north of Boston includes portions of Woburn and Reading.  Prior to my election to the Massachusetts legislature, I served for 34 years as a juvenile probation officer for the Juvenile Court. After retiring, I served as an Alderman on the Woburn City Council. During that time, I served as a member of the Board of Directors at NuPath (formerly CMARC).  Through my experience and my work with those with developmental disabilities, I have a strong understanding of the challenges that many families face. I’ve always enjoyed working with those with developmental disabilities and will continue to be an advocate for services to help our developmentally disabled citizens live their lives as independently as possible. The work of The Arc and other developmental disability groups is vital to accomplishing that goal.  I look forward to the upcoming legislative session and the chance to serve those in my district. -Representative James J.
