This hour-long webinar will describe sensory processing disorder (SPD) and how it manifests in children (and adults), including common symptoms and behavioral markers. The lecture portion will include tips to help identify SPD, as well as the process of pursuing formal assessment and treatment. Treatment options, such as occupational therapy using a sensory integration approach, as well as home- and school-based sensory programs, tools and sensory “diets” will be covered. The 45-minute presentation will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session.
