Announcing The Arc of Massachusetts 41st Annual Legislative Reception Honoree

The Arc of Massachusetts is excited to announce that we will be honoring Senator Mike Moore at the 41st Annual Legislative Reception, hosted by The Arc and the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC) on March 6, 2019.

Senator Moore led the effort in the Senate to pass the Abuse Registry Bill, Nicky’s Law. With Senator Moore’s leadership and dedication, Nicky’s Law passed unanimously through the Senate last Spring. He continues to work with The Arc of Massachusetts on Nicky’s Law as we prepare to refile the bill in this new session.

Through his role as Chairman of the Joint Committees on Public Safety and Higher Education, he has worked to pass two of The Arc’s other legislative priorities, Police Training in Autism and Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative, favorably through committee. The Senator is a cosponsor of current and past bills for The Arc and has been a leader of the Supporting Families Campaign since its inception.

Senator Moore has a significant understanding of constituent priorities and always focuses on advocating for the needs of individuals and families. He has been a true leader and friend of the disability community.

Join us in thanking Senator Moore on March 6, 2019 at the Great Hall of Flags at the Massachusetts State House. Stay tuned for more information on how to register for this event.
