[WEBINAR] Getting Ready for College!

Is your young adult considering college?  Then be sure to attend the webinar on Tuesday, June 21 at 12:00 PM.

It is important for families and students to learn about the changes and differences in service provisions and legal obligations and compliance in higher education. This webinar  will provide information on · discovering learning profiles and readiness · locating appropriate college/post-secondary setting · identifying schools that are a good fit · assisting in the admissions process · assessing services and accommodations needed · reviewing students past and current documentation · serving as a liaison to disability services office · critiquing college essays or portfolio · assisting in facilitating a sustainable network of support

This webinar is presented by Eileen Berger of SUPPORTbrokers of The Arc of Massachusetts.  Eileen  has worked as a disability and student services administrator in higher education for 28 years and as a speech, language and hearing specialist in K-12 education. Eileen consults with families, students, school districts and institutions of higher education. She has directed disability services in Bunker Hill Community College, Salem State University and for 18 years at Harvard University GSE as administrator in Student Affairs and Access and Disability Services. Eileen’s experience in disability service provisions in a variety of college environments, including 4 year, public, private, and professional institutions of higher education as well as 2-year community colleges, technical schools and K-12 programs. She has certification in assistive technology and can help you assess your student’s need for technology solutions and strategies.
