Financing the Future with Affiliates of The Arc

Michael Andrade, President and Chief Executive Officer, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has over 25 years of experience in the non-profit arena, which includes developing and managing services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Mr. Andrade began his career with non-profit work in 1993 as a Support Services Specialists of a local RI chapter of The Arc. He then assumed the role of Chief Operating Office for the United Cerebral Palsy of Rhode Island. In 2000, he joined The Arc of Kent County (RI) as Vice President of Adult Services. In 2003, Mr. Andrade became the President and CEO of The Arc of Bristol County, and under his leadership has grown the agency from a $1 million to nearly $15 million agency. In addition, Mr. Andrade serves on many coalitions and statewide boards in the area of disability policy and has served as an Adjunct Professor at Rhode Island College for the past 10 years.
Maryanne Hyatt has worked in the human services field advocating for individuals with disabilities and their families for more than three decades. As the Chief Operating Officer at Berkshire County Arc, she oversees many of the agency’s programs, including strategic planning and pooled trust. Maryann has also been instrumental in growing all of BCArc’s Family Support and Respite Services as well as the Adult Family Care Program.
