SUMMARY:[WEBINAR] What You Should Know about DDS Adult Waivers
DESCRIPTION:Join us and learn how waivers provide adults with IDD a way to get services in their own homes or community. Our presenters are experienced professionals who will explain the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Home and Community Based Waivers system. Discussion will include eligibility\, clinical assessments\, and the difference between the waivers\, as well as the benefits waivers provide for those enrolled. Waivers can support the self-directed service model\, offering both budget and employer authority for specific services. \nPresenters: \n\nMelissa Alvarez is DDS Director of Medicaid Waivers and has worked at the agency for 16 years. Prior to working with waivers\, Melissa was a DDS service coordinator. Previously\, she served as a residential supervisor for the Charles River Center\, a chapter of The Arc of Massachusetts.\nKevin Salera is Chief Operating Officer at the Charles River Center and has more than 30 years of experience in the human services field.
