Every year, The Arc of Massachusetts’ Operation House Call (OHC) program trains nearly 1,000 future medical professionals in the best practices needed to provide the highest quality of care possible to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.
Operation House Call places self-advocates in the classrooms at major medical schools, allowing them to share personal stories about their healthcare needs with students who are eager to learn. OHC also pairs medical and nursing students with volunteer families, allowing them to take part in a home visit that provides a comfortable, relaxed opportunity for mutual learning.
When it comes to improving access to the kinds of care our community needs, Operation House Call is the gold standard.
On December 3, you can make a real impact – not just on this program, but on the future of healthcare in Massachusetts. In honor of #GivingTuesday 2019, we’re excited to be launching the Sponsor an OHC Student initiative. All it costs to put a future medical professional through this revolutionary program is $100 – the equivalent of 25 cups of coffee, 10 months of Netflix, or even less than the cost of a one year subscription to Amazon Prime.
Imagine that: you can change the future of medicine with just $100.
We believe that all individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism deserve the opportunity to have the highest quality health care possible. You can help us make this happen by sponsoring a medical professional's enrollment within an Operation House Call course for just $100.
Can we count on you today?
