On September 9, 2018, Governor Charlie Baker proclaimed the week of September 9 to be Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Recognition Week.
The US Senate will likely soon release their own similar proclamation, which Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren have signed on to in the past.
Are you interested in sharing your story about the important work that the DSPs in your life do? Whether you’re a self-advocate or represent a family or a provider, individuals are invited to share their stories of recognition by submitting them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The full text of the Massachusetts proclamation, signed by Governor Baker, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, and Secretary of State William Francis Galvin, is available for reading and downloading below.
