Nicky’s Law: The Arc of Massachusetts Response to the Committee on Public Counsel Services (CPCS)

Late in the informal session, the Committee on Public Counsel Services (CPCS) threw doubt on the due process components of Nicky’s Law. CPCS presented their concerns to leadership at the House of Representatives. The Arc worked swiftly with the Disability Law Center to formulate and share our response.

  1. Thank you for all the continued effort for the passage of Nicky’s Law.
    This is a vital bill to protect our most vulnerable. This blatant move by the CPCS at the 11th hour of the informal session has only set the stage for further awareness of the general public to raise up under the backing of its passage. We will band together to right the wrongs.

    I’m wishing everyone at the Arc peace for the holidays and refueling to march on in perseverance.
