Grandparents can play important roles in the lives of children. Grandparents can teach new skills; play games; and provide wisdom, family history, a sense of humor, an ear to listen, emotional support, and unconditional love! In the next few days, we’ll be sharing stories from grandparents and grandchildren. We hope you enjoy these stories as much as we do.
Being a grandparent…
…is a blessing afforded to the luckiest of people. It is an opportunity to re-live precious memories, re-do special moments, re-write narratives. Grandparents are blessed with extra time, perhaps not available the first time around, to enjoy family time. This is an opportunity to share with grandchildren a link to the past that might, otherwise be lost to them, and, to see, in them, a glimpse into a future that we, ourselves, won’t see. Being a grandparent means doubling down on the love we share, from generation to generation.
…and, spoiling grandchildren is the ultimate pay back!
