On July 28, Maura Sullivan, The Arc’s Director of Government Affairs, presented testimony before the Joint Housing Committee in support of the Accessory Housing bills (H1370 & S908).
As the first witness to testify, following the testimonies presented by Legislators, Maura led The Arc panel by outlining the importance of families being able to care for their loved family member in an accessory unit in the family home. She was able to describe how the passage of this legislation could have a positive effect on her family and the scores of families served by The Arc.
