Role includes:
- Facilitate the work of community and agency partners through consultation, training, and progress review with the goal of developing friends between those with and without disabilities.
- Facilitate and participate in Regional Inclusion Network Meetings
- Facilitate & coordinate trainings or consultations
- Represent the project at broad-based community events as well as entities within our field such as the DDS Quality Council, Citizen Advisory boards, Family Support Centers, etc.
- Participate in other meetings—as needed.
- Contribute to PATHWAYS reports, social media, articles, presentations, etc.
- Assist with any quality review activities
- The WTC team meets regularly as facilitators and quarterly with its Advisory Board
Qualifications: Understanding of and commitment to the importance of friendships between people with and without disabilities; understanding community organizations and building connections within a community; Requires good interpersonal, presentation and writing skills; experience in mentoring, training and supporting others; ability to travel as needed in state; and, flexibility in scheduling and attending other Pathways meetings.
Position details: Part-time position projected at 20 hours per week. Range above $30 per hour based on experience and knowledge. Some flexibility on hours worked.
Widening the Circle is a partnership program between the Department of Developmental Services, The Arc and community agencies across the state.
