The Arc is aware of two important legislative hearing coming up in June. The hearings will be in front of the Committee on Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities.
The Arc’s top priority bill “An Act Relative to Rate for Workers Providing Supports and Services for Individuals with Disabilities” filed by Representatives Sean Garballey and Simon Cataldo and Senator Barry Finegold will be heard on June 13.
Seven other bills will be heard on June 27 in front of the same committee, including The Expansion of Nicky’s Law, PCA Cueing and Prompting, ABA for Adults on MassHealth, Supported Decision Making, Updating the Definition of Developmental Disability, Updating DPPC Language and Regulations, and Katie’s Law (Removing Archaic Language).
