What a year it has been!
We continue to teach medical, nursing, and allied health professional students essential skills and mindsets to provide inclusive and equitable care. Together, we envision a system of healthcare professionals who are reducing barriers, providing equitable access, and improving the quality of care for people with IDD and autism.
Making this vision a reality is a true team effort, one that is resulting in meaningful change. This year, Operation House Call (OHC) reached over 1,200 students at seven institutions. Those students were hosted by over 160 families. The OHC team sends our deepest gratitude to our host families, co-teachers, students, and academic partners who make this work possible. We look forward to another year of progress together!
“[I learned] more in one afternoon than I could have learned from any textbook. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of OHC.” Yale School of Nursing student, 2025.
