The Arc of Massachusetts recently participated in a full day showcase hosted by the Department of Developmental Services in partnership with the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities and the University of Missouri-Kansas City Institute for Human Development’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UMKC IHD UCEDD).
The Arc took part in this showcase as a member of the Massachusetts Community of Practice (COP) for Supporting Families of Individuals with IDD, a national movement that uses the Charting the LifeCourse framework to provide person-centered concepts and tools through policy, practice, and system transformation to provide support within the context of a person’s family and community.
Kathleen Amaral, Policy and Community Relations Officer, represented The Arc as part of a panel of professional partners to illustrate our work with Charting the LifeCourse in the Commonwealth to better support families.
