Please contact your state legislators today and ask them to support The Arc of Massachusetts’ final budget priorities!

Over the last few months, both the House and Senate have passed their versions of the FY26 state budget. The versions are different, so they now go to a Conference Committee to negotiate the differences and produce a final version of the budget. You can see more information about the budget here.

As the budget moved through the House and Senate, several of The Arc’s priorities were accepted: we need your help to make sure that they remain in the final version.

Please contact your state legislators today and ask them to request that the Conference Committee adopt the following amendments:

  • $150,000 to continue to grow The Arc’s Operation House Call.
  • $75,000 for mobile crisis training to provide these first responders with the tools to better respond to individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • $31 million to continue operations of the Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children, while work continues to analyze the hospital’s future.
  • Level-funding ($5 million) of the Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI), ensuring access to higher education for students with IDD and autism.

If you have time, you can also contact the members of the Conference Committee:

If you have any questions, please reach out to nbent@arcmass.org. Thank you for your advocacy!
