Currently my senate district Worcester, Hampden, Hampshire and Middlesex – includes the towns of Ashburnham, Ashby, Athol, Barre, Brimfield, Brookfield, Charlton, East Brookfield, Hardwick, Holland, Hubbardston, Monson, New Braintree, North Brookfield, Oakham, Palmer, Paxton, Petersham, Phillipston, Rutland, Spencer, Sturbridge, Templeton, Wales, Ware, Warren, West Brookfield and Winchendon. I’m the Chair of the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture and Chair of the Joint Committee on Higher Education. I also serve on six other committees in the legislature. During the past fifteen years in the legislature I’ve always had a strong passion for providing services to our most vulnerable people. We have made great progress in providing for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and my involvement with the Arc’s Center of Hope and The Arc of Opportunity allows me to feel change is possible. Working together for those whose lives we can improve is a wonderful feeling and give me great personal satisfaction as the Senator for my district.
