This week, the Operation House Call team held our first class at UMASS Chan Medical School of the academic year.
The Arc is thrilled to work with UMASS to grow and strengthen the program by adding more curriculum, pre- and post-testing, and a second class to bring students back together after their home visits to process and present on their learning. UMASS Parent Instructor Jennifer Drohan will be leading those classes.
We are also excited to begin to bring back “in person” home visits for those OHC host families that are interested. Our Program Coordinator will be reaching out to families to gauge interest.
Thank you to Jonathan Gardner for teaching alongside Maura Sullivan to give the lived experience perspective to these students. We are off to a great start!
