The Senate Ways and Means FY24 State Budget (released on Tuesday, May 9) solidifies the funding we’ve reported with Governor Healey’s budget and the House budget in most cases (except in 2 line items).

The House also had increased DESE and Autism kids funding, but the Senate keeps those at H1 figures. These two lines could go higher during conference committee negotiations.

We did get the language and $3 million to serve those who require 1:1 support and flexibility of transfer between lines (e.g., move money from day to family support if needed), which The Arc had advocated for.

No amendment is anticipated except for Operation House Call.
