[WEBINAR] The Adult Changing Tables Bill
On Thursday, August 17, Maura will be joined by Jayme Betts of Changing Spaces, a state and national grassroots movement that seeks to provide people with disabilities a safe, private, and hygienic place to meet the most basic human need of toileting. Many children, adults, and elderly individuals with disabilities and medical complexities cannot fully participate in our society due to a lack of restrooms with universal changing tables.
The Arc is partnering with Jayme and others to pass legislation H212 that will require new construction and reconstruction of public buildings to include universal changing tables. This kind of change takes time, but we must start now. The hearing is coming up on September 12 and we need your support. Learn how you can help change this inequity here in the Commonwealth.
