The Kerry Mahoney Memorial Garden
at The Arc of Massachusetts

Celebrating the legacy of Kerry Mahoney: champion of disability rights and inclusion, respected colleague, and cherished friend.

If you knew Kerry well, you most likely heard stories or even saw photos of her treasured garden. Kerry was a lover of nature in all its forms, and especially loved growing various kinds of flowers, taking care of her dog and cats, and spending time on the beach in Newburyport and Plum Island. In her time at The Arc, she loved to sit with her colleagues out back on the patio, taking in the scenes of the tree-lined backyard and birds and squirrels as they enjoyed lunch together or held an outdoor meeting with visitors.

The Arc of Massachusetts is pleased to announce the creation of The Kerry Mahoney Memorial Garden.

The Memorial Garden will surround the patio at The Arc headquarters. The Memorial Garden will be accessible to visitors when the office is open, as well as after hours and on the weekend.

The Arc of Massachusetts plans to dedicate the Memorial Garden in late spring/early summer 2024.

Help to make this special tribute to Kerry’s lasting impact possible with a contribution in her memory.
