The Arc of Massachusetts is seeking a passionate and results-oriented  Contractor/Project Manager to lead a critical marketing initiative aimed at addressing the workforce shortage crisis within the field of services for persons with autism, intellectual and developmental (IDD) disabilities in Massachusetts. This $1.6 million federally funded program offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals with ID/DD and ensure continued access to essential programs and day centers.   This position is a temporary, 12-month position.

The Arc of Massachusetts is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (/DD) and their families. We work to ensure that all individuals with IDD have the opportunity to live, learn, work, and participate fully in their communities.

Project Overview:

This critical program aims to bridge the workforce gap in the IDD support field across Massachusetts. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the program, leading a successful campaign within the grant timeframe and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Development and Management: 
    • Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with the grant requirements.
    • Manage the $1.6 million grant effectively, tracking expenses, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations and reporting deadlines.
    • Lead the development and execution of a multi-faceted strategy to attract qualified individuals to careers in ID/DD support.
    • Oversee the work of external partners, such as a digital agency, ensuring content creation, website development, and media buying align with program goals.
  • Communication and Collaboration: 
    • Facilitate regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, including The Arc of Massachusetts leadership, local chapters, partner agencies, and the funding body.
    • Generate clear and concise reports for internal stakeholders, detailing program progress, achievements, and challenges.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports for the federal funding agency, adhering to their specific requirements and deadlines.
  • Marketing and Outreach: 
    • Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive marketing and outreach campaign, leveraging a combination of owned, earned, and paid media strategies (website, social media, partnerships).
    • Ensure marketing materials and messaging are inclusive, accessible, and effectively target potential ID/DD support workers.
  • Metrics and Evaluation: 
    • Establish a data collection plan to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure program success.
    • Monitor website traffic, engagement metrics, job applications, and placements within ID/DD support roles.
    • Analyze data and prepare reports to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex projects, ideally with a focus on workforce development or social impact initiatives.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing successful marketing and outreach campaigns.
  • Experience working with and managing external partners, such as digital agencies.
  • Experience in human services and the challenges faced by service providers a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to effectively respond to report requirements in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, such as Trello, Slack, and/or Teams.
