After I’m Gone: Virtual 4-Session Future Planning Series
For Families & Others Supporting Adults with Disabilities
Who will take your place when you are no longer able to continue as a coach, caregiver, or help monitor your loved one’s activities, services, and other key aspects of their life?
As part of our ongoing After I’m Gone program, we are providing a targeted workshop series to complement our free offerings (web sessions on various topics, online resources, and private Facebook Community).
The workshops cover:
- Overview of future planning
- Importance of acting so your loved one, you and others are prepared for future realities
- Keeping the adult with the disability at the center of planning, and advancing his/her decision-making role
- Steps to identifying and assisting your successor(s) as the coach or caregiver
- Establishing a support network
- Reviewing the future planning guide
- Basic overview of residential options and other services
