We are saddened to report that Deborah Norton, long-time board member and former Board President of The Arc of Massachusetts, passed away on February 18, 2023. Deborah demonstrated a unique combination of analytical acumen and emotional intelligence which was wonderfully supportive.
Janet Sweeney Rico, current Board President, noted Deborah’s “incredible leadership, compassion, insightfulness, and passion for helping those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.” Deborah, who retired as Senior VP of IT and operations and was the Chief Information Officer, was a well respected and liked senior leader at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, who always supported her team and colleagues.
The picture we show is with her husband John, and a Gala speaker, journalist Ron Suskind. We will miss her, but continue to remember her work to advance the lives of persons with disabilities! Prayers and warm wishes to John, Emily, Sam, and grandchild, Colin.
