On Thursday, May 21, the Operation House Call (OHC) team taught a pilot class at Regis College Young School of Nursing.
Students in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program learned from the stories and lived experience of our teaching team. OHC Ambassador Jonathan Gardner shared about the nurses who had an impact on his healthcare journey with cancer and who remain a part of his life today. The students were very eager to learn more and connect with Jonathan during the Q & A portion of class.
Next, they are headed into the community to continue their OHC experience with home visits; thank you to the dedicated host families who will open their homes to these students! We are grateful for the opportunity to reach nursing students at Regis and are excited about the future of this new academic partnership.
