We have reached the final stage of the state budget process, which has spanned several months. Now, the Conference Committee will take up the proposals and determine what will be included in the final version. More information on The Arc of Massachusetts’ priorities can be found here.
The Arc of Massachusetts has worked with legislative champions to file amendments and provide key language that is aimed at strengthening funding and protecting services that support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism. Due to looming cuts at the federal level, this is a particularly constrained budget year, making your advocacy critical in the final moments of this process.
We need your help to ensure that our priorities are included in the final budget. Please take a moment to contact your state legislators and ask them to express their support to the Conference Committee.
