Operation House Call (OHC) is The Arc’s groundbreaking health equity program, where medical students gain the skills and mindsets to care for individuals with IDD and autism. A key component of OHC is the home visit, where a small group of students meet with a family to hear their stories and get a window into their daily lives.

The time commitment is small – a few hours every few months – but the impact is huge. Our host families are empowered to share their experiences (both medical and otherwise) with the students, who learn crucial lessons not taught in the classroom. Families with loved ones of all ages can participate! We are most eager to grow our network in the Worcester and Boston areas (within 30 minutes of each city).
