Operation House Call S2615 and PCA Cueing and Supervision S129/H260 have now passed favorably through their second joint committee.
Both bills passed favorably from Public Health in February and with continued advocacy, they have moved one step closer to the process of becoming law.
Operation House Call would bring more training on enhancing care for people with autism and IDD to medical students and other health professionals across the state.
The PCA bill would include prompting/cueing and supervision as part of MassHealth’s program and PCAs could be given time for these types of supports needed by the consumers.
We are excited to see this movement. Please reach out to Maura Sullivan at sullivan@arcmass.org if you want to help advocate for these bills.
