Thank you to the over 750 people who completed our action alert on universal changing tables in the last 36 hours. This response was amazing and shows the strong passion that our community has for this policy.
Unfortunately, the amendment was not adopted into the House’s economic development bill. While this is disappointing, we know that your advocacy did make a difference: it elevated this issue, educated lawmakers, and put us one step closer. We are also so grateful to Representative John Lawn and Representative Sean Garballey for their work prioritizing this.
The Senate will soon debate their versions of the economic development bill, and we will have another opportunity to advocate. Please stay tuned, stay engaged, and stay persistent!
