On Wednesday, October 28, The Arc of Massachusetts held a briefing at the Massachusetts State House with the Disability Policy Consortium about the crucial implications of shifting federal guidance, the status of community-based infrastructure in Massachusetts, and strategies for protecting the promise of Olmstead here in Massachusetts.
Dozens packed the briefing room at the State House, with another nearly 150 attendants registered to view the simultaneous Zoom livestream.
This was an important conversation that highlighted lived experience, our history, and the need for budget and legislative advocacy to codify Olmstead and protect HCBS in the weeks and months ahead.
