From April 7 to April 9, 2025, The Arc of Massachusetts took part in the 2025 Disability Policy Seminar in Washington, D.C.
Over 900 disability advocates gathered from across the country to attend this annual event. Only five states had over 50 participants, with Massachusetts having 70 advocates in our delegation. The Arc was the leader of the Massachusetts delegation.
For the first two days of DPS, advocates gathered for important educational sessions, learning from experts on topics including Social Security, Medicaid, IDEA, the DSP workforce, and more.
On the third day, advocates took to Capitol Hill to put their knowledge into action, meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation about the current pressing issues facing the disability community in these unpredictable times.
