We are thrilled to share with you The Arc of Massachusetts 2023-24 Annual Report, highlighting a year of remarkable progress, advocacy, and empowerment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism. As we celebrated our 70th anniversary, we also marked significant achievements that have brought us closer to a more inclusive and equitable society.

Key Highlights from the 2023-24 Fiscal Year:

  • 70 Years of Progress: We commemorated our 70th anniversary with events that engaged our community, reflected on the past, and envisioned the future. Notable events included the 70th Anniversary Gala and a panel discussion featuring influential voices in disability advocacy.
  • Empowerment and Advocacy: Our advocacy efforts led to significant investments in the FY24 State Budget, including $200 million for MassHealth day programs and $173 million for Chapter 257, directly addressing the workforce crisis. We also saw progress in key legislative initiatives, including Operation House Call, which now reaches over 1,300 students in Massachusetts medical and nursing schools.
  • Education and Outreach: The Arc of Massachusetts continued to be a trusted resource, offering a wide range of webinars, conferences, and educational programs that reached thousands of individuals and families. We also launched new initiatives, such as the Community Bridging Grants under our Pathways to Friendship program, fostering inclusion across the state.
  • National Recognition: On the federal level, The Arc was awarded $1.635 million in funding to support workforce recruitment across our 17 chapters, thanks to the advocacy of Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren.

These achievements were made possible by the dedication of our supporters—people like you who believe in the power of advocacy and the importance of inclusion.

As we look ahead, we need your support to continue this vital work. Your donation will help us sustain and expand our programs, ensuring that individuals with IDD and autism have the opportunities they deserve.

Please consider making a gift today to support our mission. Together, we can continue to create a brighter future for everyone in our community.

Thank you for standing with us.
