On Monday, April 27, the Operation House Call (OHC) team taught our annual class at Yale School of Nursing (YSN) in Orange, CT.
A team of five parent instructors, three parent panelists, and five co-teachers taught over 110 students divided across five classrooms. It was an important and inspirational day of connection and learning, facilitated by a strong 11-year partnership with YSN.
Next, the students will continue their learning with an OHC host family. Over 50 families in Connecticut are generously opening their doors to a YSN student pair, giving the students a rare opportunity to connect with and learn from a family outside of a clinical setting.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated OHC CT team, our CT host family network, our partners at YSN, and the students. Together, we are improving the future of healthcare for individuals with autism and IDD.
