The Arc has been busy with community trainings in recent weeks, covering budget and legislative advocacy, autism advocacy, and social change.
This past month, Maura Sullivan presented in person to a motivated group of future leaders from the Northeast Family Leadership Series. Attendees learned about the budget process in real time and about passing legislation from a lobbyist’s perspective.
Maura also presented to Autism Sprinter virtually with a focus on autism advocacy and the critical areas that currently need strong support.
Other presentations include Maura’s annual day with future leaders of our disability community at Boston Children’s LEND program, and the undergraduate Suffolk University students with a class in Social Change. At Suffolk, Maura connects with new generations of potential advocates and professionals.
