The theme yesterday for Supporting Families Day was “Keep Families Strong and Resilient” as over 100 persons and families joined Representative Denise Garlick, Maura Sullivan, Kathleen Amaral, Kerry Mahoney and parent speakers Sue Crosby and Sagrario Desire Guerrero (actually, 5 of the 6 are parents).

The theme for our 43rd annual Legislative Reception is “Equity in the Face of Uncertainty: Moving Forward Together.”
The Arc of Massachusetts held our annual celebration of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and autism and all that is possible on Thursday, February 11. The Endless Possibilities Virtual Gala and Auction was held entirely online and raised $175,000 through sponsorships, donations, and the auction.
Our vaccine prioritization advocacy continues to evolve! The Arc of Massachusetts (The Arc), along with Advocates for Autism of Massachusetts, sent a letter yesterday (February 16) to the Governor and other state officials urging that people with I/DD and autism be immediately prioritized for the COVID-19 vaccine and to make reasonable accommodations when necessary to ensure safe and equal access to the vaccine.
