Paul Pakos passed away on March 7, 2026. Paul was the husband of Pat Pakos who served as a disability consultant at The Arc for more than two decades. Paul and Pat were married for 60 years. A devoted husband and father, Paul is survived by his wife, his three children Matthew, Kathleen, Rachel, and their families.
Paul wore many hats, not least of all as a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, a sailor, and a corporate executive. Through his corporate role, Paul volunteered to help The Arc with a business plan for our program SUPPORTbrokers. He attended many events with Pat, as she supported The Arc through volunteer efforts in addition to her consulting role.
Pat and Paul worked together to ensure that their three children had opportunities to thrive as adults, and that extended to Rachel, who had a disability. They worked with her to develop a “person-centered” life with fulfilling opportunities and home life.
Paul will be remembered by the many people who knew and loved him for his big brain, his big heart, his commitment to family and friends, and his industriousness.
